Sun Island was established in 1984, it is an experienced educational organization with 9 kindergartens/child care centers to provide quality pre-primary education for young children in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories, and outlying islands. In line with the educational policy of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Sun Island became non-profit kindergartens approved by the Education Bureau to join the Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme in 2007 and the Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme in 2017. Since then the students of Sun Island have been benefited from the government subsidies.

The 9 kindergartens collaboratively develop and adopt a common curriculum framework and share teaching resources and experiences.
